KHMD's flagship event returns on November 5 2016. Stay tuned for more.
Think Tank is a contest organised by the school's technology club KHMD. People around the world face a variety of serious problems everyday. One of the major solutions to this is technology. In this contest, we want to see how you can harness the power of technology to build projects to solve such problems. So, put your thinking caps on and change the world!
All the projects will be presented at Interface. The most feasible solutions will be implemented by Reap Benefit and other NGOs under UN's Youth Forums Program. The best ideas will be selected to represent Kumarans for CBSE Science Fair by a jury of judges on 15th October.
This contest is open to students of grades 8-12 across all Kumarans branches in teams of two. Registrations close on October 8 for both CBSE Science Fair and Think Tank. For only Think Tank, registrations are open till October 20. Please register at the KHMD Website The last date to submit the project synopsis for it to be considered for both the contests is October 12 and October 25 for only Think Tank, to khmd.skch@gmail.com
You have 2 options:
- You can suggest one problem you want to solve and submit your idea while registering.
- If you are not able to come up with a problem you want to solve, we will assign you one problem after registration. You have to brainstorm solutions to that problem.

Ignite (Aug 2016) marked the beginning of a transitionary period for KHMD. It was the first event in a period of new leadership and a new line of thinking on what KHMD should be. The idea was to put out the message that science and technology was something that everyone could integrate into their interests. The demos illustrated the use of technology to solve simple everyday problems.
Interface (Nov 2015) was the first edition of KHMD's flagship event - Interface. This was an event that brought in many changes to the incumbent IT Fair by turning the very intention of the event on it's head. It went from an academic display event to an event where students showed what they built and also helped students develop skills through workshops in Web Design and Design Thinking along with events like Hour Of Code and flash talks on various topics. Interface 2015 brought the community together in terms of collaboration and set a precedent for all future Interface events.
Infuse (March 2015) was the first ever event where KHMD came together. The intention of this event was to spread the idea of what the community should aspire to become. Mr. Satya Prasad, a professional with over 20 years of experience in the tech industry, came and talked about the maker culture in the Silicon Valley and how we were doing something that is fundamentally important in today's world. He drove home the point that the act of creation is much more important than mere consumption. A group of 11th grade students also demonstrated a prototype of a cheap VR headset, aptly named "Oculus Thrift". Infuse went on to define what KHMD became.
